NASA Donating Artifacts to Eligible Schools and Museums

NASA has decided to donate artifacts to non-profit museums and schools. These artifacts will be listed on their website, http://gsaxcess.gov/NASAWel.htm and will remain there for 90 days, with the first 30 days reserved exclusively for the National Air and Space Museum and NASA Visitor Centers.

The purpose of this is for appropriate institutions to have access to items that were difficult to obtain before, and to obtain them through an easy-to-use web portal.

Interested parties must first registered with NASA for prescreening purposes. After they have been deemed "eligible", they will be given login information and allowed to submit their requests for artifacts.

Hopefully, aviation museums and schools across the country will take advantage of this, as their visitors/students may be greatly benefited from it.

I mean just look at the picture...who wouldn't want one of these for their school?
